4 Ways to Build An Attractive Character in Your Blogging Niche

Have you ever noticed that most of the successful bloggers have some sort of attraction element at play in their blogging efforts? Some might be good looking sure, but beyond that, most of the good ones have some sort of redeeming quality that has people thinking - "damn, I wish I was like that!"

Today, we're going to talk about how you can do the same thing, and create a level of attraction that has readers pouring in wishing they could be like you. Here's how:

1. Pull Out Some Attractive Things in Your Life

We all have something neat, cool, or attractive in our lives. For John Chow, it was pictures of cars and houses. For Shoemoney, it was an AdWords check. For Frank Kern, it's the beach bum lifestyle.

The point is that it doesn't matter what you don't have, you need to find something cool for people to associate with you. Find a symbol of awesomeness, and share it with your readers. Make it a part of your image - this is very important.

2. Set Yourself up As an Authority

Nobody likes to listen to a joker, which is why you need to become an authority in your niche. Now, I'm not recommending that you pretend to be an authority, because people will see through that.

I'm suggesting you become an authority. Learn, study, and practice until you become a master of your niche. Then, when you're ready, showcase your skills to the world.

Obviously this means when you're new, it might take some time before you become profitable, and that's OK. The average business takes 2-3 years to become successful, and if you aren't ready for that grind, then you probably shouldn't be in business anyway.

3. Don't Be Neutral When You Talk

It doesn't matter what side you're on, but you need to pick one and embrace it. Being neutral is boring, and nobody likes to read boring blogs. It's OK to be wrong from time to time, that's how people learn, but being boring is a recipe for doom.

The point is that you shouldn't say anything unless you can improve the silence. If you're not sure whether you should be writing something, then you probably shouldn't be writing it. Write with your heart, and the rest will follow.

4. Take Strong Stand and Don't Be Afraid to be Controversial

If you aren't pissing someone off, then you aren't doing it right. Try to find one successful person that isn't polarizing. Steve Jobs is a great example - to his dying day he was loved and hated by many. There were very few that stood in the middle.

When you say something, say it boldly, and say it with confidence. Confidence is magnetic.

This, in a nutshell, is my four step recipe for becoming an attractive and magnetic blogger. Take a look at your favorite blogger and compare these four traits with their own. Do you see any resemblances?

3 Dangerous Blogging Pitfalls You Should Avoid at All Cost

If you want to make blogging your business model, there are things you need to know. Sometimes those things have to do with what you should do, and other times they are things you absolutely have to avoid at all cost or your blog will fail miserably.

Let me tell you what the 3 most commonly known, and at the same time, most dangerous blogging pitfalls are.

1. Fake it Till You Make it

Believe it or not, but this is a real saying that goes around in the internet marketing industry. It's very easy to hide behind a web page or an email address when you're working on the web, and one of the most grievous mistakes people make when blogging is pretending to be experts in matters they know nothing about. In other words, they're fakes.

It's tempting to fall for that trap, but I am here to tell you you shouldn't do it. Why? Because if you do, sooner or later you'll get busted. Plain and simple.

Someone out there will blow the lid off your little scheme and you'll have a new nick name which starts with an S and rhymes with the word hammer.

2. Post Till Your Fingers Bleed

This is a huge load of crap. Some people say you need to log onto that dashboard of yours and post on your blog each day. Others will tell you, you should do it 2 or 3 times a week.

Let me say this much: It is almost irrelevant how often you post on your blog if the content you put up is actionable, good quality stuff, and you take the time to communicate with your readers somehow.

It doesn't always have to be a blog. It can be a YouTube channel, a Facebook page, a Twitter feed or even EzineArticles. As long as they learn something from you sometimes, they'll be fine.

3. Focus On the Money

This is another thing people say a whole lot. Theoretically it makes sense, I mean, we're marketers and we want a good ROI no matter what it is we're doing, right?

Well, yeah, but if you just focus on cash, your following will realize you don't really care about them and they'll leave you. No one wants to be just an open wallet you call on whenever you need some dough.

People are people and they want to feel important so, while money is important, it should never be the driving force behind what you're doing. People over at McDonald's used to say that if you take care of the customer, the business will take care of itself.

If you take care of the people that come to read your blog, the money will take care of itself. You won't even have to ask for it.

I've shared with you three of the deadliest blogging dangers out there. Avoid them at all cost and never fall for them. Always focus on the relationship you have with your people and you won't have problems getting awesome traffic and a bunch of money from your efforts.

How To Make Your Blog Known

Learning about social media sharing is required when you desire to make your website known, especially because it represents a huge part of the gaining-notoriety process.

• Social Media Sharing across multiple social networks
Posting all of your content all at once with the help of a Social Media Sharing feature is quite useful for a blogger. It offers auto-posts on multiple social media profiles for free, while it adds media pages/groups, along with multiple accounts per network as premium features.

• Auto Posting
You may be wondering how auto-posting is possible since each and every social network requires a specific format for the posts. Also, auto-posting can be scheduled after your own will, meaning that you can either share your posts all at once or select the time and date when you'd like to publish (premium).

• Customizing Posts
You will be even able to edit OG parameters, link post or image post formats or the HTML markup and custom details such as typefaces, headlines, links to syndicate your posts on other blogging platforms such as Medium, Tumblr, or Bloglovin, etc.

• Drag and Drop Calendar for Scheduling Social Media Posts
With the premium upgrade, the plugin offers multiple options for scheduling, auto-scheduling, and automatically re-sharing the posts. A Drag and Drop Calendar helps to schedule the posts across multiple channels.

• Social Media Reporting
Keeping track of your posts is also important and with the social media reporting feature, you will be able to do it with just a few steps. You can visualize every already-shared and scheduled blog posts and decide if they need a re-sharing. Users and administrators of the website will have different set-up attributions.

• Find out what you need
Firstly, as a blogger, one will need to find out what kind of service they want for their website. This can come in handy when a blogger doesn't have the time or the patience to post qualitative content at favorable rushing hours. Automation is what blogs are striking for and this is what makes a great plugin to download. It can help its users with social media reporting, connecting multiple social networks, customizing sharing and scheduling or even keeping track of the following reports.

All things considered, why are you still waiting? If you care about your blog and you truly want to gain as many visitors and interactions as possible you will need to make good use of such products as soon as possible. You will be capable of seeing the powerful effects of automation in no time. Plus, you will be amazed to see how much free time you are going to gain while your posts become viral. It's a win-win situation!

The Blog2Social plugin offers various features to help you with the social media automating and cross-promotion process for your website or blog. And, it also helps you to stay in touch with your communities, with individually tailored social media posts for each social network.

How To Build Your Own Blog

Successful bloggers have to keep their heads around many different aspects of the medium - but at its core is being able to write compelling and engaging content on a consistent basis over time.

Blogging is nothing unless you are systematic and this means that you can start by having a mind map. A mind map is essential especially when it is able to provide a complete layout on:

• The output of the article (structures)

• Title and excerpts to be used

• Types of content and information to provide (research)

• Proper images and media sources

• Credit and link sources to be provided in the article

Besides that, having a good blog structure is important to ensure that your readers are glued to the screen. Every blog post should contain several important features.

However, there are some basic principles of writing great blog content that might be worth keeping in mind.

Below are a few of the lessons I've learned on the topic over the years

1. Nail that title and opening paragraph

Compelling titles and introductions make your readers want to read your post right away. Wishpond contributor James Scherer says, "recent studies show that while 80% of people will read headline copy, only 20% will read the rest. This is the hidden importance of great titles, and why getting them right is so vital to a successful blog."

2. Make Every Word, Phrase & Sentence Count

Because Internet user's attention spans are shrinking by the day, you have to work harder to hold your readers' attention from the beginning until the end of your post. To do that, every word, phrase, sentence, and even punctuation mark must add something to your piece. You can check this service to count the words within your article or post.

A handy trick is to read your draft out loud. If it feels like you're explaining things too slowly, or you're falling asleep to your own voice (gasp!), you may need to edit the extraneous bits. Your draft could possibly feel "incomplete", in which case, you can insert additional information to clarify your thoughts or strengthen your arguments.

Sometimes it is very convenient to use different tools to get the word count or some additional text statistics.

3. Grab Attention

The first thing that readers notice about a blog post is the title. Readers are far more likely to read a post if they're intrigued by its title.

While there are no absolute rules for creating titles that grab attention, there are some general rules that established bloggers recommend: Short, simple titles are usually the most effective, but you need to provide enough information to let the reader know something about the subject of the post.

Grabbing attention with a shocking or controversial title can also be effective as long as the post delivers useful information and does not attempt to fool the audience into reading.

4. Shorten Your Sentences as much as Possible

Do yours eyes glaze over while reading a sentence? Do you read a sentence out loud, and lose your breath by the end of it? Do you see too many adjectives, adverbs, and other words that don't add anything to a sentence?

If any of these happen, shorten it! Otherwise, that kilometric sentence is probably fine as is.

5. Use Simple, Yet Precise, Words

You know how MS Word's "Shift + F7" pulls words from the more obscure parts of the thesaurus? Well, you might not want to rely on that function too much. Readers hate it when you bombard them with highfalutin jargon. Not only do these words sour the reading experience, but they also make your blog post look stilted and pretentious.

Instead of trying to sound "smart", try to sound sensible. Use words that best convey your idea and can be understood by the layman. For example, "to utilize resources" can be shortened as "to use resources".

6. Address a specific audience

Good corporate blog posts are targeted to a particular audience. So, before you start developing content, decide who you are selling to and what you are selling.

If you are selling to decision makers in the publishing industry, write a blog post that targets their specific needs. If you are a web developer, try to make the content professional but not too technical because you want buyers to know the benefits of using your services.

The Real Estate blog does a great job of developing content that helps potential homeowners learn more about the community where the available homes are located since this is usually an important issue for homeowners.

7. Establish Your Voice

Once you have an angle, don't forget to add some personality. Avoid generic posts; personalize them with stories from your own professional experience. Letting your readers get to know you is the best way to create reader loyalty.

Pitch your voice to match your professional goals. For example, if you are trying to establish yourself as a financial expert then you should limit the amount of humor in your posts.

If you're a motivational coach, then make sure your posts are inspirational. If you find it hard to match your personal voice to your blog niche, you might want to reconsider your niche.

8. Stay consistent on your blog format and topic

Related to finding your voice, it turns out that blog format really matters. To completely oversimplify, there seem to be two very different kinds of blogs that are successful. Either you are a "curator" of news, or you are a primary content source.

The curator is someone who blogs often and throughout the day with links and snippets, and I would consider someone like Robert Scoble (or iJustine!) to be the Michael Jordan of this approach. The style is often more conversational and casual, and includes lots of little updates on what they are doing or reading or trying out. These guys can really "cover news" and are widely read because they can provide the first opinion on new stuff coming out.

Powerful Ways to Write Some Blog Articles in a Successful Week

With the massive volume of content online as well as the stiff competition that you are undoubtedly facing all over the place, it is extremely important that you generate as much top-quality content every week as possible. Of course, that may be easier said than done. If you are committed to writing three or four times a week, you need to make sure that you don't burn out.

The importance of consistent, successful blogging
If you are a busy business person, which you probably are, it may not be very easy to find the time to write multiple blog articles each week. First of all, it is certainly not always easy to come up with fresh, exciting topics a few times a week. Okay, once you have gotten over that obstacle, the next challenge that you face is the actual writing of the blog article.

Creating great content is challenging and the results often take time to present themselves.

At this point, you may be wondering how other people manage to successfully write multiple blog articles each week. First of all, it is important for you to understand that people who manage to write multiple blogs each week for their businesses are people just like you and me. They have a multitude of things to do every day. In addition to other commitments; however, they also make blog writing one of their priorities. If you make it a priority, you will make it happen.

If you are wondering what the necessity is to post multiple blogs a week, there is a simple answer to that. It is to increase your website traffic and to be presented with the opportunity to establish new relationships. Content, as a commodity, is incredibly valuable and without it, your business would not exist.

However, one thing that you need to understand is that you probably will not see positive results from your blog-writing efforts immediately. It takes time (on average, 3-6 months is not uncommon) to start to reap the rewards from your blog-writing efforts. However, you will start to realize quickly that it is well worth the wait.

Establish objectives
Every business, no matter what that business does and no matter what that business represents, must have objectives that are met within a certain timeframe. This applies to how many blogs you feel you want to write for your business as well as other objectives that are related to your business. Additionally, this is where a business strategy (which you should have written a long time ago) applies.

It is important to establish a roadmap of sorts so that you can follow it, achieve the milestones (or interim goals) that you have built into that strategy along the way, and eventually successfully achieve the overall objective. In short, it is very important that you can see the objective before you take any steps to achieve that objective. Of course, it will take some serious time and effort before you are able to achieve that objective but if you are patient and methodical, there is no doubt that you will achieve the objectives that you have set for yourself and your business.

Another thing that is important to keep in mind is that the number of weekly blogs is less important that making the commitment and sticking with that commitment. Of course, with that in mind, it is also important to remember that what is being discussed here is writing multiple blogs each week so writing one a week will simply not suffice. It is very important that your priorities are in order and that you work hard on achieving your objectives in a timely manner.

If you are feeling uncomfortable with the writing process, one really good way to conquer that is to make a commitment to writing something every day. It is a really excellent way to prevent writer's block from happening and your writing skills will never be rusty; they will always be there for you to call up whenever you need them.

In addition to the goal of writing every day, you will probably find it helpful to set an actual deadline for your writing. That is also something that you will want to incorporate into the road map. Another often-successful trick is to write at the same time (more or less) every day. Human beings generally thrive when they have a schedule. There is no reason why you should not give yourself that gift.

Conclusion
Posting multiple blogs each week for your business consistently is often challenging and you certainly don't want to get into a position in which you feel that you are burning out from the pressure of that sort of writing schedule. On the other hand, writing multiple blogs opens up a world of possibilities for your business. It also gives you to potential to reach many more people.

Writing multiple blogs a week not only helps your target audience by supplying them with a fair amount of top-shelf information but it also helps your reputation and gives others the perception that you are knowledgeable on a broad scale. If you follow the advice that is given here, you will successfully achieve the goal of writing multiple blogs without burning out. Burning out is not an option for you.
